Washington, D.C. — Today, Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02) voted in favor of H.R. 140, the Protecting Speech from Government Interference Act, led by Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (KY-01). This legislation prohibits Federal employees from advocating for censorship of lawful speech in their official capacity.

"House Republicans' subpoena of former Twitter employees didn't take long to uncover the Biden Administration's mission to make government censorship of everyday Americans commonplace,” said Moore. "I was one of those Americans, along with the sitting President of the United States, when we were both suspended from Twitter in January of 2021. We must eliminate the practice of government officials privately coordinating with companies to eliminate Americans' First Amendment rights."
