WASHINGTON, D.C. — Rep. Tom Kean, Jr. (R-NJ) made the following statement ahead of President Biden’s second State of the Union Address tonight:

“Tonight President Biden will deliver his second State of the Union address. With so many issues facing our country from ongoing inflation, to emerging threats from China - I am hoping to hear a strong, bipartisan path forward from the President. The past two years of fiscal irresponsibility, record amounts of deadly drugs and human trafficking flowing over our borders and a projection of weakness abroad has put our country in decline. In this new Congress, we need to change course to build a safer and more prosperous America in the years ahead. An America that gets past the weight of inflation, that secures our borders, and that shows our adversaries across the world that we will continue to lead with strength. Let’s see what path we hear from the President tonight.”
