Rep. Loudermilk Named Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight for the Committee on House Administration

Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) issued the following statement after being named the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight by the Chairman of the Committee on House Administration, Bryan Steil:

“As Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight, I look forward to providing oversight of our legislative branch agencies, like the Library of Congress and the Architect of the Capitol, and issues pertaining to congressional security. I also look forward to reviewing past security failures and advancing ways we can improve accountability. I want to thank Chairman Steil for entrusting me with this important position; and I look forward to working on this subcommittee with my colleagues.”

Below is a brief summary of the jurisdiction of the Subcommittee on Oversight:

-Matters relating to congressional security, accountability of the legislative branch security and safety apparatus, legislative branch operations, and such other matters as may be referred to the subcommittee.
-The subcommittee makeup will consist of four Republicans and two Democrats.
