Royal Family and Market Weekend - May 20-21, 2023

THE FUN STARTS HERE

It’s “Royal Family & Market” weekend and the grand opening of Robin Hood’s Medieval Faire. Gather your friends, family, and pets and celebrate the good, old-fashioned way.

While you visit, please take part in the Sheriff’s Challenge: Shop our themed artisan marketplace, where you can earn complimentary General Admission tickets to return to the Faire. Be sure to request your special Market Receipts, and when you collect $200 or more, turn them in at our information booth before the weekend ends to get your reward.

SATURDAY

Neighbor Appreciation Day: To show our appreciation, we provide complimentary admission to all Harwinton residents and their children on our Neighbor Appreciation Day. Acceptable forms of ID include a driver’s license or state-issued ID bearing a Harwinton address or a household bill (electric, gas, water, etc.) with a Harwinton address. Youth (7-15) receive complimentary admission when accompanying a parent or guardian from Harwinton. Children (6 and under) are always free.

Royal Adult Costume Contest (ages 16+): Dress as a king, queen, prince, princess, lord, or lady. Standout participants will win prizes. No registration is required.

Prizes: (First) Three Robin Hood General Admission tickets, (Second) Two Robin Hood General Admission tickets, (Third) One Robin Hood General Admission ticket.

SUNDAY

Free Kids Day: On this day, we provide complimentary admission to the Faire for all Youth (ages 7-15) when accompanied by an adult with a paid general admission. Children ages 0-6 are always admitted at no cost when accompanied by an adult.

Childrens’ Costume Show: Take a walk and bow on stage to the sound of applause in this costume show for children ages 0-15. No registration is required.

Prizes: There are no prizes for this event other than the adoration of the audience.

Barbarian and Swashbuckler Weekend - May 27-28, 2023

IT’S TIME TO INVADE THE FAIRE

Vikings, barbarians, and hordes from anywhere in the world will unite for a weekend of feasting, fun, and frivolity.

Out of Time Horde Costume Contest: It doesn’t matter where or when you’re horde costume originates. Just look your best to crush your competition, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of… you get the idea.

There is magic and romance in the Faire during our Fantasy & Romance weekend. If you’re single, stop by the Gypsy Rose booth to get a complimentary “Single” sticker to show your availability to other fairgoers.

Wizards, Warriors, and Bards Weekend - June 10-11, 2023

FUN IS HOW WE ROLL

Adventure awaits those who attend our Wizards, Warriors, & Bards weekend. If you love RPGs or just having fun with friends, this weekend is a critical hit.

Adventurer Costume Contest: Come dressed as your favorite RPG character.

Witcher & Monster Cosplay Costume Contest: Bring your favorite Witcher character or monster to life in this cosplay costume contest.

Fur-Ever Friends Weekend - June 17-18, 2023

A WONDER-FURR WEEKEND FOR YOUR EXTENDED FAMILY

We’re throwing you a bone for the paw-fect weekend of canine fun. Participate in dog contests and share a day of outdoor fun with your furry friend. If you don’t have a dog, be sure to stop by our doggie adoption event hosted by Paws & Reflect. Anything is paw-sible when you have a dog. ** Dogs must have proof of rabies vaccination.

SATURDAY

Deaf Awareness Day: We invite members of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community to enjoy an interpreted day at the Faire. Finger Dancers from around New England join us to interpret a variety of shows for our friends who are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing.

Sit Happens: Join us for a musical game of sit. The last dog sitting when the music stops is out.

Prizes: Two Robin Hood General Admission tickets.

SUNDAY

Dog Costume Contest: The pup-arazzi always hounds your dog for a good picture, so why not enter our dog costume contest? This contest is your dog’s chance to be a su-PAW star! Whether you dress as one of Robin Hood’s Merry Men, Maid Marion, The Sheriff, or anything else of your choosing, don’t miss this fun event just for dogs.

Time Travelers Weekend - June 24-25, 2023

It’s About Time

Whether you’re a villain here to “exterminate” The Doctor, boldly going where no one has gone before, or you’re a hero from a galaxy far, far away, you’re going to love our Time Traveler’s “Geek”-end. This theme is your chance to show off your favorite cosplay regardless of where and when it represents. If you choose to “come as you are,” this is an opportunity to see some fantastic individuals’ impressive talent, creativity, and tireless work.

SATURDAY

Time Travelers Cosplay Costume Contest: It doesn’t matter where or when you’re from, or even what galaxy. Come dressed as your favorite character from history or fantasy and complete in this Time Travelers Cosplay Costume Contest.

SUNDAY

Doctor Who Cosplay Costume Contest: If you have a favorite Doctor Cosplay, now is your chance to show it off. Come dressed as your ideal Doctor, Companion, or other characters from one of our favorite shows.

Whovian Photo Ops: Immediately after the cosplay costume contest, join us at the TARDIS for a group photoshoot of all our Whovian friends.

Halloween in July Weekend - July 1-2, 2023
