Whether you’re nostalgic for the music of the 1980s or are discovering it for the first time, one thing is for certain: Roxey Ballet’s newest production will have you dancing in your seats. Journey Back to the 80s is an epic music and dance extravaganza featuring classic hits performed live by 80s tribute band, GruvTyme. With phenomenal choreography and dancing by Roxey Ballet, this performance will take the audience on a nostalgic trip back to the era of rock 'n roll, shoulder pads and iconic music. Says Artistic Director, Mark Roxey, “We are excited to come together with the community to share this celebration of music, dance, and all things 80s. It’s going to be a wild journey back to a simpler time.” Like, totally radical.

Roxey Ballet presents a concert of “Romance and Dance” featuring a mixed repertoire of dances dedicated to the joys of romance. With moving highlights from the ballet’s showcases and new works by Mark Roxey, Pinja Sinisalo, Giovanni Ravelo, and the dancers of The Roxey Ballet, you will fall in love with the company that has been noted to be “all about the unexpected.” As the anticipation builds, Artistic Director, Mark Roxey, shares, “I am excited to appear at the Sieminski Theater to delight audiences and present them with moving theatrical works featuring dancers from all around the globe.This performance will leave you breathless.”

The Roxey Ballet Company will be hosting the second annual

River Dance Festival! This three day long event will feature choreographers and dance companies across the nation.

The mission of the River Dance Festival is to give choreographers, performers, and creators, a platform to present their work (with an emphasis on BIPOC artists). The festival provides artists professional theatrical space to perform and rehearse, a high quality video of their show and audience feedback.

This festival is structured around the topic of social justice and equity and we will be taking into special consideration choreographer's that are able to represent this theme in their work. Roxey Ballet is excited to to host artists of all backgrounds the opportunity to influence cultural or racial change in society, speak their truth, and/or advance efforts to create equity in the arts.
