Rubio, Casey Applaud Senate Passage Of National Catholic Schools Week Resolution

Catholic schools are valuable educational institutions for faith-based American families. Approximately 1.7 million students are enrolled in Catholic schools throughout the United States, including students with diverse backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses. 

U.S. Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Bob Casey (D-PA) applauded the Senate’s passage of their resolution designating the first week of February 2023 as “National Catholic Schools Week.” Representative Darin LaHood (R-IL) is leading the resolution in the House.

-“Catholic schools instill a broad, values-added education emphasizing the lifelong development of moral, intellectual, physical, and social values in young people in the United States….”

-“Catholic schools produce students strongly dedicated to their faith, values, families, and communities by providing an intellectually stimulating environment rich in spiritual, character, and moral development….”
