Rubio, Daines, Colleagues Call Out VA for Politicizing Veterans Healthcare

U.S. Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL), Steve Daines (R-MT), and colleagues issued the following statement after receiving a late, inadequate response to their July letter to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in which they called on the VA to reaffirm its commitment to veterans and ensure they can access quality healthcare in a timely manner. The VA failed to address the senators’ concerns.   

-“Not only does this weak response show a lack of respect for Congress’ role to advocate on behalf of our constituents, including veterans, it shows the Biden VA has no intention to move past political differences to better serve America’s heroes or work in good faith with those of us across the aisle. Our veterans deserve better.”
