From: Denver Botanic GardensWhat is Sabor?
Sabor is an annual gastronomic extravaganza and multicultural fundraising festival held on the first Friday of every August at the Denver Botanic Gardens. Attracting over 3,000 attendees, it offers an immersive cultural experience with the opportunity to explore the gardens, enjoy a selection of beverages, sample cuisine from over 40 restaurants, and appreciate live Latin music. The event serves as a platform for fostering connections and creating awareness about various companies and organizations that contribute to our rich, diverse community. At Sabor, we place high importance on promoting inclusivity and fostering understanding of the multifaceted Hispanic market in Colorado.
Sabor in a Nutshell: Picture this – 23 acres of garden space, over 45 live musicians, more than 35 participating restaurants, 10,000 pounds of ice, over 40 creative artists representing cultural icons, and one magical unforgettable evening.
What is the Sabor Series? Why limit the magic to just one night? We've expanded the Sabor experience by introducing a series of events. This includes an intimate private dinner for 100 guests where local renowned chefs team up with local and national celebrities to curate a unique culinary and musical experience.
In addition, we organize a Hispanic Heritage celebration as a token of our gratitude. This event recognizes our community's leading contributors and supporters. We also honor the restaurants, sponsors, volunteers, and companies that make Sabor possible every year.
What does Sabor Support? Sabor shines a spotlight on the restaurant industry, providing crucial support to local Hispanic businesses that play an integral role in bolstering our economy. It cultivates connections among local Hispanic entrepreneurs, residents, community leaders, and organizations. Sabor is also instrumental in providing funding and leadership development opportunities for local restaurant owners and other small enterprises. Moreover, it supports our youth entrepreneurship programs and our minority restaurant and small business grant program. This all contributes to the flourishing of our local economy while celebrating diversity and inclusivity.
