WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman John Sarbanes (D-Md.) today announced that he will host a Veterans Benefits Workshop to help Maryland Veterans with their claims and appeals.

“Over the years, my Veterans Benefits Workshops have helped connect countless Veterans to personalized assistance and critical resources. While my office is happy to advocate for Maryland Veterans every day, this workshop brings staff from the VA Baltimore Regional Office and other offices on-site to work with Veterans directly,” said Congressman Sarbanes. “I’d like to invite any Veterans in Maryland’s Third Congressional District to join or just stop by.”

The event will be held on Thursday, October 13 from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM at the Glen Burnie Elks Lodge (878 Stevenson Road, Severn, MD 21144).

Staff from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Baltimore Regional Office will be on-site to provide personalized assistance to Veterans in Maryland’s Third Congressional District. Additional Veterans resources from the region will be on hand to provide information on other Veterans’ benefits such as healthcare.

Pre-registration is encouraged but not required in order to meet with VA staff. Pre-register at sarbanes.house.gov/events.
