Hospitality Award for the Seagrove Pottery Community!

On December 14th, 2022, the Randolph County Tourism Development Authority hosted their Annual Awards Luncheon at the Luck Comer Lail Center in Seagrove. Remembering their 25 years was the focus at the luncheon and all that they have accomplished over the years with the help of their partners. During this time, they also recognized partners and employees with their annual awards presentations.
The Mary Joan Pugh Excellence in Hospitality Award was established in 2018 as an effort to recognize our community partners, organizations, events, and people in the tourism industry that have contributed to the growth and success of Randolph County’s tourism mission. Mary Joan Pugh was an instrumental member of the founding TDA Board of Directors, witnessing growth and development of the organization from its inception in 1997. This year's award recipient was the Seagrove Pottery Community for being a place on the move and making their mark on the map noticed, regionally, across the state and nationally.

Hearts for Paws: Shopping at Jugtown

Shopping with purr-pose – 10% of all sales will be donated to Animal Advocates of Moore County! We will be featuring mugs & bowls decorated with animals, vases, planters, and tableware.

JLK Jewelry will be at Jugtown with a new selection including enamel earrings and animal jewelry as well as her regular stock.

As always, supporting American made, we will be stocked with new crafts as well as old favorites. Enjoy coffee, tea, and chocolate in the shop while you browse.

featured "Tea with Seagrove Potters" as well as three Asheboro tea blenders— Carriage House Tea, The Black Lantern Tea Room & Bakery and The Table Farm Bakery— in the current issue! Go grab this international guide to tea on newsstands now.

Blue Hen Pottery, Dean & Martin Pottery, Eck McCanless Pottery, From the Ground Up, Red Hare Pottery and Thomas Pottery will be participating with pottery and special tea tastings and treats.

3rd Annual Planter Sale

The Triangle Studio

Saturdays March 11th & 18th 10AM to 5PM

Welcome avid plant lovers! This is our first event of the year, and comes just in time for Spring planning. Co-Founders of The Triangle Studio, Kate Waltman and Erin Younge, love to grow indoor and outdoor flora; and vegetable gardens. At our event we will have planters for shrubbery of all sizes from small house succulents to outside flower bushes.

Join us to meet the artists, enjoy the pottery making process with demonstrations both Saturdays and get all your upcoming planter needs from a beautiful array of handmade pottery.

Possum Run Nursery will be a plant vendor both Saturdays of this event as long as the weather is good. Possum Run is a local plant nursery out of Robbins, NC and will have a variety of potted perennials and annuals as well as herb garden necessities.

The Celebration of Spring Pottery Tour takes place on the weekend of April 14,15, and 16, 2023, from 10 am to 5 pm. This special 15th annual event is a self-guided tour of individual pottery galleries, studios, and workshops in the Handmade Pottery Capital of the USA.

A list of potters for this special event will be listed in March of 2023.
