You are Invited! Holiday Open House with the Seagrove Potters

Join the Seagrove Potters this season for their Annual Holiday Open House.

You’re invited to celebrate the holiday season on a self guided pottery tour. Starting on December 3rd through December 18th weekends, the pottery shops of Seagrove have special events planned on Saturdays, some on Sundays. Most all of the shops have normal retail hours but have prepared special work for the December weekends to feature a great selection for your Holiday gift needs. Already have plans for those weekends? Don’t be dismayed, shops are open during the week too and many have online stores for shopping convenience! Enjoy finding something for everyone on your list this year. Experience a hearty dose of holiday cheer, feel the warmth of the fireplaces, as you venture through the Seagrove community. Free and open to the public!

Jugtown Pottery Annual Holiday Opening

Join us in December for new pots, American made crafts, hot coffee, and holiday cheer! We have a wonderful selection of pieces saved for this festive event. These will include Wood and Gas fired pottery made on site at Jugtown. Pieces this year will include Frogskin, Black Ankle, Salt Glaze, and Copper Red Glazes. Jugtown Pottery has been a working pottery and American craft shop for more than 100 years. We currently represent more than 60 artists, with crafts including wooden utensils, handmade soaps, tea towels, wooden toys, candles, socks, a great selection of cards, and more. JLK Jewelry at Jugtown Annual Holiday Opening

JLK Jewelry will again join the Jugtown Pottery Annual Holiday Opening. New pieces will be available! Jennie creates original designer cabochons using Jugtown’s clay and glazes and sets them in her original hand fabricated sterling silver designs. Many pieces are one of a kind. The glazes and semi precious stones used together are a wonderful compliment to each other. Jugtown always has special pieces held back from firings throughout the year, so you will find a lot of extraordinary work and fine American crafts. So much to choose from, from stocking stuffers to that amazing one of a kind gift, all handmade. The fire will be blazing in the museum along with delectable treats and warm drinks. Christmas Open House-Thomas Pottery

You’ll adore pieces from this wondrous collection, a woodland angel, baking dish or appetizer tray are unique and appreciated gift ideas. Enjoy holiday decorations, tour the studio and shop while enjoying refreshments in a relaxing atmosphere.

Thomas Pottery specializes in creating useful pieces that are also works of art. Their Winter Scene Collection is as well-suited for special occasions as it is for everyday dining. Winter scenes of fir trees, log cabins and snowmen are available in mugs, plates, platters and much more. Each piece is hand-painted and glazed individually, creating a distinctive earthy appearance.

Ceramic Ornaments at The Triangle Studio

December 3rd 10AM – 5PM

For the holidays, Erin Younge made her signature ornaments including a traditional lobed-style series in multiple colors of glazed stripes and dots. She also makes a series of mythical winged creature ornaments that were wood-fired. Flying cows, camels and sheep are sure to bring a smile to your face.

Special this year is a series of large diamond-pierced star ornaments that become the stunning focal point of any Christmas Tree.

Holiday Kiln Opening-Ben Owen Pottery

December 3rd & 10th
9am - 5pm

Ben Owen Pottery will have a Holiday/Christmas kiln opening on December 3rd & 10th (10am-5pm) featuring a great assortment of glazes and styles for your holiday gift needs. A preview in person will be held 9am-9:50am and the sale beginning at 10am. Chinese Red, Ash Glaze, Dogwood White, Patina Green, Nebular Purple and other glazes will be featured for December 3rd. Stardust, Lily pad, Blue Lichen, Midnight Blue will be featured for December 10th. A Preview will be online on December 2nd after 6pm of examples available during the kiln opening. Come visit to see the new work available and enjoy a cup of coffee and other tasty treats!

Ben will open his studio 1pm-5pm on December 3rd and 10th to learn more about the process in clay as he works on the potters wheel. Bring your family and friends!
