In Their Footsteps: Lantern Walking Tour

Celebrate Veteran’s Day on Saturday, November 12th with a walk in their shoes at Shawnee Town 1929! On this very special lantern-led walking tour, it’s 1927 and ex-servicemen of World War I are in town lobbying for veteran’s rights. Visitors will have the chance to meet veterans, community members, and advocates who stories of their lives and the hardships veterans faced returning to civilian life while fighting for adequate support.

This immersive, living history experience will be guided in groups beginning every 20 minutes from the Visitor Center between 6:00 and 8:00pm. Timed tickets are required, and guests should expect some walking and standing. Tickets are $10 per person and admission is free for active and retired military. Please arrive 15 minutes before your tour. Complimentary hot cider will be served in the gift shop. Event held rain or shine, so dress for the weather!
