SLC VegFest 2023 Performers

1:15 p.m.

Yudi Ko

Yudi Ko hails from Salt Lake City with her soulful melodies and enchanting voice. This singer-songwriter has been playing in the local music scene with her rich blend of folk, country, indie, and pop influences. Yudi's musical journey began as a toddler, and she hasn't stopped singing since. Having traversed through vibrant cities like Berkley, Cincinnati, and DC, Yudi brings a wealth of diverse experiences and a unique perspective to her art.

Sinking About

Sinking About emerged as a one-time anniversary coverband (RIP to that relationship). But fortunately a new (platonic polyamorous) relationship blossomed out of it. Consisting of five buds with varied music tastes, Sinking About’s unique sound evolved through having fun. Their writing process may be slow and meticulous, but it allows each member to add their personal touch. When listening to a Sinking About song, one can hear juicy bass inspired by Radiohead, syncopated drums like Tame Impala, dramatic keys like Muse, silky guitar like Big Thief, and angelic vocals from heaven itself. This melting pot of music forms an indie band that is TAKING OVER Salt Lake City 50 monthly listeners at a time.

Scott Lippitt

"Scott Lippitt is like if Elliott Smith did pop music. His hushed, doubled vocals populate “Insight In Time” – a chill, reflective track with driving, acoustic textures. This track would have been included in an episode of Scrubs for sure." - Provo Music Mag

5:15 p.m.

Runaway Fire

The world’s new original rock and roll band, Runaway Fire, is creating waves in the unisphere with vocal melodies and stylish guitar tones soaring through tube amps so beautiful they may just send a rip tide of audio large enough to shift the weather into a random rainstorm in the desert. Their original songs are melodic, magical, rhythmic, percussive, catchy, beautiful, powerful, and easy to sing along with. The Keys are played by Marci Allen, a girl usually too pretty and classy to be playing rock and roll, but when she found out she was pregnant with a little boy she decided to join Santa’s naughty list and bring some amazing much needed beauty to the rock and roll sound and scene. The  guitarist and vocalist, Mike Wilson, has written a wide variety of music for all listeners to enjoy. His grandmothers both told him he would be a famous singer and gave him their blessings! His top of the line performances and showmanship are fun to watch and an emotional uplifting experience with sincere heartfelt lyrics and melodies.

7:15 p.m.
