July of 2022, Potters and studios will have several events taking place for a great experience in the Seagrove area. From kiln openings, demonstrations, and some hands on experince in clay, we hope you can plan your visit for a first hand look at the process of making pottery.

The Triangle Studio - Saturdays in July!

The Triangle Studio will have demonstrations the first three weekends in a row. This studio houses multiple artists and each of their work is available in the gallery. Each of these Saturdays will feature a different artist so come get to know us!

Saturday, July 9th Erin Younge is making mythical animal jars. Watch throwing on the wheel and the magic of creating flying beasts and fun animals from her imagination.

Saturday, July 16th Erin Ellis will be handbuilding small vessels and she says there is enough clay to go around if you want to try your hand at making a small pot.

New work will be available this month for the event , and watch our craft come alive with a month of demonstrations and activities that are free and open to the public.

Face Jug Classes

Crystal King Pottery will be hosting “make your own Face Jug and Face Mug” classes Saturdays in July. Each class is planned with pre-turned pieces and then instruction is given step by step of how to add features to make your very own "heirloom" piece.

Pieces will be fired during the following week and ready for pickup or optional shipping.

Eck McCanless Pottery Anniversary Celebration

July 9th, 10am - 5pm

Eck will demonstrate how he turns multiple colors of clay on the wheel at the same time to create his Agateware. He will also demonstrate the carving techniques he uses to achieve the intricate patterns on his pots.

July 16, 10am - 5pm

Eck McCanless Pottery will celebrate its 11th anniversary with a special limited-edition color, refreshments, and Agateware turning and carving demonstrations.

Signed, numbered, limited edition pieces in Retro Green will be available while supplies last.

July 16th
Hands on Activity- Make an Oval Bowl
1:00 - 2:30 - Cost $40 This is a hand-building project, we are sure you can make. Learn how to assemble and decorate using stamps and texture tools. Bowl is 11x5 Leave your creation to be finished in the glaze you select. Call to sign-up or come 20 min. early to join in if space is available. Max class size is 12.
