There's snow on the ground, so I guess I can no longer deny that winter is coming.  Hope you're staying warm.

You are all welcome to join other library staff this Friday, December 1st from 10:30-11:30 to talk about whatever is on your mind. This is a time to share your good news and get support for any issues you are currently dealing with. Hope to see you there.

ILOC is Coming!

Sustainability is the new buzzword. If you've been working on ways to keep your library going for many years into the future, we need to hear from you!

Have you made progress toward any of these goals?

 - Sustainability in building operations (i.e. “green” improvements)
 - Ongoing partnerships and library collaborations
 - Positive interactions with other city services or departments
 - Programs that are making a noticeable impact in your community
 - Sustainable and alternative funding options
 - Innovative practices in strategic planning

While there will be nationally known keynote speakers, what really makes this conference a success is hearing from Iowa librarians like you. We're still looking for a few more breakout speakers, so please consider telling us about the projects you have been working on to keep your library as a vital part of your community. We want libraries to be around a long time in the future and that is one way to do it!

Time is short, but I know you've got ideas to share. Please complete the 2024 ILOC Proposal Application by December 1, 2023. Selected presenters will be notified by December 8.
