Summers in Seagrove - A great place to be!

Driving along the country side to visit some North Carolina’s greatest potters is always an enjoyable get away from the routine of life. Pottery Highway and the surrounding area is 15 miles of beautiful fields and scenic byways that host over 55 of our wonderful pottery shops and studios. Here you can stop by the studios and see the behind the scenes workings of what it takes to create such unique ceramic works of art.

Shown above: Alexa Modderno of Seagrove Stoneware shows Lisa from Cookin' Cuttin' Up and Ceepin' it Real how to work on the wheel during their recent visit to Seagrove.

Our New Restaurants- Pop Corn Co- and Wine and Craft Beer

Make sure to leave room for a tasty meal at one of the local diners or restaurants such as Cagle’s Diner -a quaint spot offering some of the best Burgers around, the new Mona Lisa -serving sandwiches, salads, and Italian & American fare; or La Fiesta Mexican Food which serves life changing Guacamole!

For Wine and Brew lovers, stop by and enjoy a glass from our recently opened wine and craft brew bar named The General.

The General hosts specialty wines by the bottle and by the glass and has a selection of craft beers by can and draft.

It’s a favorite spot to hang out and often hosts music and food truck events listed on their Face Book page.

Seagrove township is also excited to welcome Asheboro PopCorn Company in Seagrove to the local scene! Their newly renovated building is a must stop while in town to take a break and choose from their many flavors of Kettle corn and hand scooped ice creams! Yum!

Come spend a wonderful day out with us- Pottery shops, yummy flavors and a laid back vibe! Summers in Seagrove is a great place to be.

Stepping Into the Craft - Summers in Seagrove

July-August 2023

While Seagrove pottery shops are open throughout the year, many studios will have special events taking place during the months of July and August for Stepping into the Craft – Summers in Seagrove. Visitors can expect anything from kiln openings, demonstrations, hands-on experiences in clay and more. We hope you can plan your visit for a first-hand look at the process of making pottery and discover why Seagrove was voted America’s #1 Town for Craft.

Individual shops plan their own events. Please remember that most shops are typically open, even if they don’t have a special event planned that weekend. You will need to work directly with individual studios for any events that may require reservations (hands-on experiences, etc).

You'll want to take a look at this page for demos, classes and special events during these upcoming two months. Potters will be adding more as we go along, so check back often: Stepping Into the Craft Event Page
