A New Weekend of Jazz in Sacramento

The joy of New Orleans-style jazz is at the heart of this scholastic combo festival, which is dedicated to fostering a better appreciation of this classic American art form.

Each year, scores of young musicians gather at the annual Teagarden Jazz Festival for experiences that take their musical skills to the next level.

8:00am: Performances Begin
11:45am: Lunch Break – Pizza Service Begins Complimentary pizza meals/beverages for band directors and student musicians
12:15pm: Jazz ‘N’ Pizza Jam in Room 143 hosted by the All-Star Clinicians Band.
Band Directors and students are invited to play.
1:00pm: Band Performances Resume
4:15pm: Jazz Workshop featuring Guest Dan Barrett
5:00pm: Announcement of Encore Bands in Capistrano Concert Hall.
Featuring encore performances by some of the outstanding festival bands:
5:10pm: Elementary School/Middle School
5:20pm: High School (Private/Club)
5:30pm: High School
5:50pm: Announcement of Awards
