Last week, Matt attended the Schaghticoke Fair, Mooers Fire Department Labor Day Celebration, and the Massena Labor Day Parade where he was honored to march with NYSUT.

Team Castelli Town Halls are continuing! This week Matt hosted town halls in Franklin and Herkimer Counties. 

The Castelli team is working hard to get yard signs into folks hands! We have placed another order with our union print shop and they should be arriving in the next two weeks. Please feel free to [email protected] to request yours!

There are less than two months to go until the midterm elections. The top-of-the-ticket race in the North Country is for the 21st Congressional seat, held by Republican Elise Stefanik since 2015.

Stefanik is facing Democrat Matt Castelli, who won the primary last month by a landslide. Castelli is trying to appeal to more moderate voters, particularly on the right, while Stefanik is largely focusing her attacks on President Joe Biden.

September 7, 2022, NNY360 Castelli agrees to three televised debates in NY-21 race; Stefanik at odds with forums
Debate season for the north country’s congressional campaigns is fast approaching, but it appears the candidates in the 21st Congressional District are already at odds over who will host the forums.

On Tuesday, Democratic candidate Matt Castelli announced he has agreed to three television debates, with Mountain Lake PBS and News Channel 5 in Plattsburgh and WWNY, Channel 7 News in Watertown.

Without specifying, Mr. Castelli’s campaign said the debates would be hosted through mid-September to late October, and would consider additional televised debates hosted by local media organizations if offered.
