Orleans, MA - Following the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod's announcement that it will be the new producer of the Pops in the Park concert in Orleans, The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank has signed on as the official sponsor of the event. This summertime tradition, formerly organized by the Orleans Chamber of Commerce, will celebrate its 24th Anniversary this year and feature the Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Artistic Director, Maestro Jung-Ho Pak.

"We are very thankful for the vision and commitment shown by Cape Cod Five in understanding the importance of this cultural event to the region. The Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra is one of this region's great treasures and to have this opportunity to showcase their talents, new special performance additions and present it in such a beautiful setting is very exciting to all of us at the Arts Foundation." said Kevin M. Howard, Executive Director of the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod.

The August concert has been an area favorite and the proceeds it generates will go to support the Arts Foundation's mission to promote and support the arts and culture of Cape Cod. Through their grant and scholarship programs, the Arts Foundation is able to fund students seeking careers in the arts, arts organizations, individual artists and other cultural events and will be able to direct more support to the Lower and Outer Cape.

"When we were approached by the Arts Foundation we were grateful to be offered the opportunity to be the sponsor of this year's concert. Having been involved with this popular event since its inception, we understand the valuable role it plays in the quality of summer life for the community and surrounding region as well as the economic activity it creates and its importance as a funding source . We also appreciate the extent to which the Cape Cod Arts Foundation contributes to the area's rich culture throughout the year", said Dorothy A. Savarese, President and CEO of the Cape Cod Five.

The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, Barnstable County's regional arts agency, provides artistic, cultural, and educational programs in every town on Cape Cod, with an emphasis on supporting arts education initiatives, individual artists, and cultural organizations throughout the year.
