The Friends of The Brookfield Library Need Help Sorting Books

Schools and Libraries

June 10, 2014

From: Brookfield Library

From now through mid-September, The Friends of The Brookfield Library need help sorting and boxing books for the annual sale in October.

Volunteers will work in the storage room in back of the Community Room, sorting books, marking boxes, and packing them for storage in the big containers in the back of the parking lot. Some volunteers may empty the book donation bin next to the library doors, and might even wheel the books to the storage container.

Can you help? Even an hour each week would be helpful, and you can work any time the library is open.

If you appreciate everything the Friends do -- paying all the expenses for adult, teen, and children's summer reading programs, funding the annual subscription to Ancestry.com and Mango Online Languages, paying for all the refreshments for our concerts, buying new chairs for the Teen area, and helping with other purchases -- this is your chance to give back to the Friends, the library, and the community.

If you're not able to help with the book sale, but you'd like to join the Friends, please click here for a membership form.

If you can help sorting books, or you'd like to help at the sale itself, please contact Jan Furlong, Co-President of the Friends of the Library, by email or at 203-775-1066.
