In the 1960s, as a new generation of artists challenged long standing definitions of fine art, elegant, traditional, fine art, deluxe livres d’artistes were considered no longer relevant. Two very different artists working independently, Dieter Roth in Europe and Ed Ruscha in Los Angeles, created radically innovative forms of self-produced artists books. Learn more...

Forts Within Reach: Fort Chadbourne & the West Texas Frontier
TOMORROW! Thursday, June 2 | 9 am - 3 pm

Dive into the Texas Forts Trail with an exploration of historic Fort Chadbourne. Begin with an overview and tour of the site, followed by training sessions to equip participants to teach about Fort Chadbourne in the classroom. Workshop presenters—both professors of Texas and Western history—will provide brief talks on the history of the fort and the region, interspersed with discussions and classroom guided activities.
