The increase in the billions of dollars and materiel, which is continuing to grind up lives through the US-UK led trans-Atlantic empire's reckless proxy war against Russia, heightens the likelihood that the military conflict of nuclear armed NATO countries with a nuclear armed Russia will escalate into a thermonuclear exchange—the potential fuse to WW3.

This threat, above the broad array of existential crises facing society presently, should convince you, and other concerned citizens, of the need to accept the challenge of becoming a "world citizen." All should realize that a much, much wider mobilization of pro-development, anti-war activities is required. Mass actions of the magnitude of those in the 60's and 70's, but much better informed, must be organized now.

We TLO members must rise to the challenge of becoming the intellectual midwives to the growing unrest throughout the world, from among trade unions, housing activists, farmers, church congregations, student layers, and others. A powerful example of this is the planned rally at the Lincoln Memorial February 19, "Rage Against the War Machine," where a coalition of concerned citizens—including LaRouche independent Diane Sare—will be speaking.

"The Age of Reason, or the Annihilation of Humanity,” a Schiller Institute two-panel international conference taking place on Feb 4, provides a convenient opportunity to be introduced and exposed to the ideas required to qualify as a competent leader and world citizen. Register yourself, urge your friends and acquaintances to register. The cultural-scientific ideas in the history of civilization will take center stage. These conference discussions will equip you, and other participants, with the means to comprehend solutions needed to overcome the present existential crises. Panelists will examine potentially new paths of nation- building pivoted on the development of nuclear fusion based economies and the science-driver principle of economics. Speakers will also take on concerns related to the potential for regional and global cooperation among nations, including the scientific-technological challenges of planetary defense and the exploration and colonization of distant planets and galaxies.

Counterpose these great endeavors to the past few weeks of obliviousness emanating from Washington and Europe. Each successive military escalation increases the likelihood of mankind's extinction. Consider the incendiary nature of the flippant drivel of Germany’s Foreign Minister Baerbock, that Germany is "at war with Russia,” the irresponsible about-face of Scholz, along with agreements from the UK and Biden to ship an assortment of tanks into the Ukraine theater. Beyond cocky is the prognostication of resident U.S. War College expert Evan Ellis that a 2027 war with China, ostensibly over Taiwan, will inevitably lead to global war.   

These actions and the underpinnings of a much touted ‘Global NATO’ to re-militarize Japan allied with the UK in the ‘Reciprocal Access Alliance’, the Australian-UK alliance (AUKUS), and a newly militarized Germany and France, are driven by a lust to dismember Russia, and to undo China’s quest to eradicate poverty worldwide, as it has accomplished internally.

Don’t be bamboozled! Ghoulish one-world-idealogues, and nazi-minded functionaries may design and administrate the entire ugly operation. However, the financiers who employ them wield the real power to kill. This tiny but deadly oligarchy seeks to undermine and prevent any opportunity for economic development among nations of the Global South in concert with Russia and China via the emerging framework of a new world economic order.

Spurred forward by its British-monetarist masters and dead-end dreams of Empire, today’s USA has become a purveyor of pestilence and destruction, the type of which the dramatist Aeschylus warned. Over and over, the time-worn script of a “divide and conquer” playbook gets repeated.

Should we not ask, “What is the root of this persistent recurring criminal folly of entering long wars and related conflicts? Why are our governments and people so stupid, even stupidly evil, as to be manipulated yet again into warfare against another nation?”

Now is the moment, dear citizen, to disabuse oneself of the misguided widespread notion of “empire” being the subjugation of nations by another. The oligarchical interest views the 90% of the human race as expendable, as the 1974 Kissinger NSSM 200 memorandum indicates, to be herded, culled and slaughtered, at the whim of the financial-political elite centered in the City of London and Wall Street. As Helga Zepp-LaRouche said on this subject:

So that is really the essence of the conflict. It has very little to do with what mainstream media are telling anybody. Ukraine is just the battleground for the containment of Russia, which is now linked to China. Dare to become a world citizen! Learn to sing "Dona nobis pacem," the canon of peace, and exercise the power of truth and beauty. Intervene at a public meeting. Hold your elected representatives publicly accountable for their actions.
