Last week's release of images from NASA's James Webb Space Telescope showed the telescope's resounding success, allowing us to peer up to 13 billion light years into the distance from our little slice of heaven. If you haven't seen the images yet, definitely take the time to do so—they are awe-inspiring! But the images show something more. Contrary to those who would have us believe that there are inherent "limits" which mankind must fit within, NASA has now eloquently proven again that humanity can "touch the stars," and discover their inner secrets, as co-creators and discoverers of the universe.

But how can a human species which is capable of producing such a scientific marvel, be at the same time on the brink of its own self-imposed extinction? 

This paradox, shown clearly with the success of the James Webb telescope, should create a healthy tension in our minds between the two choices in front of us. We must see the various crises afflicting the world today—economic breakdown, threatened global war, cultural morass—not with indifference, but as the possible harbingers of a new era. The question remains: Can enough impassioned leaders mobilize in this period of profound transformation to push our world out of this oligarchic system and into a new era, where mankind's true potential as a limitless co-creator can be brought into fruition?

Implementing a New Bretton Woods System in the Tradition of Franklin Roosevelt!

Western governments are now dropping like flies, with the collapse of the UK government, now followed by those of Italy and Estonia. With inflation showing no sign of slowing, and gas shortages becoming an increasingly serious topic in European countries, it will get even rockier. 

This week's Manhattan Project Meeting was joined by Mike Robinson of the UK Column, and Dr. Cliff Kiracofe, former Senior Staff Member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and President of Washington Institute for Peace and Development. Robinson presented the history of the decline into fascism, from Tony Blair to the current effort to provoke global war against Russia. Dr. Kiracofe, who was recently interviewed by the LaRouche Organization, is an historian of the development of fascism from synarchy and nihilism, and conveyed that development within the context of the destruction of industrial capitalism by finance capitalism, and the urgency of implementing a new Bretton Woods System in the tradition of Franklin Roosevelt.

LaRouche's Contributions to Modern Russia

From April of 1994, American philosopher and economist Lyndon LaRouche was publicly engaged with some of Russia’s top scientists, economists and political leaders in a high-profile dialogue. LaRouche accepted invitations to lecture at the Russian Academy of Science in Moscow, in the State Duma, and at many other Russian scientific venues. The topic was LaRouche’s forecast of the ongoing collapse of the predatory Western financial system, and LaRouche’s design for a new, just international monetary system, based on Leibnizian principles.

Today, LaRouche’s proposals are reflected and debated in public discussions led by President Putin, and by leaders of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the BRICS. On this week's Fireside Chat, Richard A. Black of the Schiller Institute discussed LaRouche’s role in helping to shape Russia’s strategic and science policies today and over the recent several decades.

Zepp-LaRouche Addresses Space Conference in Berlin

Helga Zepp-LaRouche was a speaker on the July 7, the first day of a three-day Space Renaissance Art & Science Festival in Berlin, addressing “The Actuality of Krafft Ehricke’s Vision.” The conference was sponsored by the Space Renaissance International, an organization that was set up by some enthusiasts of German space pioneer, Krafft Ehricke. Zepp-LaRouche, with whom Ehricke had worked personally, spoke about Ehricke’s legacy, outlining his achievements in space engineering, and his emphasis on the philosophy of man, quoting extensively from Ehricke’s works, Anthropology of Astronautics and his Three Laws of Astronautics. She also described Ehricke’s work in ridiculing the zero-growth insanity that was flourishing in the 1970s with the Club of Rome and Global 2000 report.

Given the recent breakthrough of the James Webb Space Telescope and what this means for the human species' potential in space, Zepp-LaRouche's contribution to this discussion was most pertinent.

Why Is There No Competent Anti-Inflation Policy from U.S. Officials?

As inflation continues to soar, driving food and fuel prices ever higher, as U.S. infrastructure is ancient and crumbling, productivity is declining, and the physical goods component of the economy continues to contract, where are the political leaders who should be addressing these economic concerns?  Poll after poll confirms that the number one issue for Americans is the economy, particularly the devastating effects on living standards of inflation.  The same polls show confidence in President Biden plunging to record low levels,  with even lower poll ratings for the Congress in general, for members from both parties. 

The polls reflect a growing frustration, even anger, against politicians, who may pay lip service to concerns over the falling living standards, but limit their discussions to ideological talking points derived from the same axiomatic assumptions which are collapsing the economy.  No elected official has the courage to step forward to present a competent plan to combat inflation, much less to try to provide a legitimate explanation of the cause of inflation.
