Government and Politics

Diane Sare thought you would appreciate our newsletter this week.
As the LaRouche Organization has continued to highlight, the populations of the U.S. and Europe are being primed to accept as inevitable a long drawn out war with Russia, and likely China next. This includes most notably, the increasingly casual references to the prospect of nuclear weapons and nuclear war, a topic formerly considered to be unthinkable no matter the circumstance. Once one nuclear weapon is used, it is only minutes, or seconds, until they all are used, leaving billions dead. We must pull this back from the brink.
This, despite repeated assurances that we want to maintain an "off-ramp" for Russia through negotiation. Aside from being an obvious lie, the western defenders of the "rules based order" have no "off-ramp" to offer! All they have to offer is even more hardship and destitution.
Consider the food crisis hitting the world, often referred to as the worst ever in history: this was not caused by Russia, but by decades of "globalized" trade policies, food and commodity speculation, chronic global underdevelopment, a hyperinflationary spiral, and an intensifying push for "green" policies which undercut productivity in every country on Earth. This is not even mentioning the illegal sanctions imposed upon Russia, making it nearly impossible for them to export their wheat and fertilizer.
It is for this reason that any individually-focused approach is not enough, whether it be to simply seek an end to the conflict, or to prioritize our people (and baby-formula) at home. As urgent as these are, it misses the point. Both are caused by the same thing: the collapse of the trans-Atlantic financial system.
An entirely new system of economics and relations among nations is needed, as it has been needed for the better part of the last 50 years. Only such an orientation can secure a future for the human species, as well as avert its annihilation in the immediate term.
The Schiller Institute has announced two emergency events this upcoming week to counter the blatant lies in the media, and to provide solutions. On May 25, the Swedish and Danish branches of the Schiller Institute will host an online conference with important voices from Northern Europe. And on May 26, the International Schiller Institute will hold an event featuring leading voices from military and intelligence networks speaking out against this crisis.
"The Most Dangerous Situation in the History of Mankind"
Those were the words spoken by Helga Zepp-LaRouche in her webcast on Thursday. She reviewed the shocking progression of events which are pushing the world toward its annihilation. The relentless push against Russia, which has led top Russia security officials to state that they believe the existence of Russia is being threatened, was escalated this week with the request of Finland and Sweden to join NATO.
Helga made the point that if you look at the effects of the continuing sanctions against Russia, they are clearly hurting the West and the rest of the world more than they are Russia. And if you add to this the self-destruction of the Green New Deal, it is very clear we are dealing with a "suicide element" in Western elites, which is a very frightening combination.
Major Events Occurring this Week
On Thursday May 26, the Schiller Institute is hosting an event with retired military and intelligence experts who have the courage to speak out against the drive towards nuclear war. Here is a current list of speakers, although more may possibly be added:
Col. Richard Black (ret.), former head of the U.S. Army’s Criminal Law Division at the Pentagon and former Virginia State Senator
Gen. Leonardo Tricarico (ret.), former Chief of Staff of the Italian Air Force
Ray McGovern, Analyst, Central Intelligence Agency (CIA-ret.), founding member of the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS)
Eric Denécé, Director of the French Center on Intelligence Researches (CF2R)
Helga Zepp-LaRouche, Founder of the Schiller Institute
In addition, the Schiller Institute in Sweden and Denmark are co-hosting an online event May 25, which is particularly significant given the push for Sweden and Finland to join NATO, further ratcheting up tensions with Russia. Find out more and RSVP for that event here.
Weapons for Nazis in Ukraine? The Chickens are Coming Home to Roost—in Buffalo, NY
Diane Sare, Independent Candidate for Senate in New York, and endorsed by the LaRouche Organization, issued a scathing statement this week in the wake of the horrific shooting in Buffalo. Much of the media coverage has focused on the reprehensible, racist views expressed by the killer, and placed blame variously on the internet, "free speech" itself, or even Tucker Carlson personally.
But where does the U.S. actually stand on the issue of the revival of Naziism? While denouncing Nazi symbolism and ideology in the U.S., we are effectively supporting it in Ukraine. Further, the shooter's manifesto portrayed a large "black sun," a symbol prominently shown by Ukraine's now-well-armed Azov Battalion.
Diane Sare, who is running for Senate in New York State against Chuck Schumer, set the record straight in her statement this week and provides a strong example of the kind of leadership the United States needs today.
