WASHINGTON – Today, Kelly Armstrong (R-ND) applauded the House of Representatives’ bipartisan passage of H.R. 1, the Lower Energy Costs Act, that’s aimed at addressing the energy crisis caused by the Biden administration’s disastrous policies. Armstrong’s legislation to streamline permitting for cross-border energy infrastructure projects is included in the comprehensive energy package. The final vote was 225-204.

“House Republicans’ top priority is stopping the Biden administration’s assault on domestic energy production and on the livelihoods of many hardworking Americans,”said Congressman Armstrong. “From the gas pump to the grocery store, the energy crisis caused by the Biden administration’s disastrous policies have hit North Dakotans’ pocketbooks and threatened our national security. I’m glad that our commonsense legislation passed by a bipartisan vote. It’s time to get back to reality and allow producers to provide the reliable and affordable energy the world needs.”

Armstrong spoke in support of the Lower Energy Costs Act onWednesday and video can be found here.
