We are hosting a seal-a-bration you won't want to miss in recognition of our harbor seal pup Sono’s first birthday!

Stop by the Aquarium April 5 - 7 to make a birthday hat craft, get your face painted, sign a jumbo birthday card for Sono and enjoy limited edition treats. You can also join the Animal Husbandry team in singing “Happy Birthday” during seal training demonstrations at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.

Plus, we are offering FREE admission for guests born on April 5, Sono’s birthday! This offer is only available at the door with proof of birthday.

Discounted admission will be available for walk-up sales on March 23 if one member of the family is dressed in Girl Scout attire (like a sash, shirt, or badge)!

Sensory-Friendly Morning Returns April 6

Join us on Saturday, April 6 for a special morning that will give guests with sensory-processing differences a fun, comfortable, and accepting environment to enjoy all the Aquarium has to offer.

From 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., lights will be lower, and music and other sounds will be turned down or off. Plus, we will show movies in our 4D Theater without special effects.

Register Now for Homeschool Day on April 10

Homeschool families can take a special educational dive into the marine world through discounted admission and grade-appropriate programs during “Homeschool Day” on Wednesday, April 10!

This day makes the Aquarium’s traditional school group programs accessible to homeschool families. Students will participate in educational programs led by Aquarium educators, including classroom-based programs for ages 4 & up and storytime in our "Sea & Discover Zone" for kids 5 & under!

Want to Learn More About Sea Turtle Ecology?

As a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, we are excited to share this learning opportunity with you!

On April 4 at 1 p.m., Dr. Brian Shamblin of the University of Georgia will be hosting a webinar to discuss how genetic tagging is being used to create DNA fingerprints from loggerhead nest samples to identify individual nesting females without ever seeing most of them. The presentation will highlight the results (think AncestryDNA® for sea turtles) and how they have reshaped our perspective on fundamental aspects of loggerhead turtle life history.
