The Wichita Police Department (WPD) is investigating a fatality accident that fatally injured 47-year-old Jeramie Santee of Wichita.

At approximately 8:00 am, Officers were dispatched to an injury accident on Pawnee just below the I-135 overpass. Officers arrived on the scene and located Santee unconscious and not breathing. They began providing life-saving measures. Santee was pronounced deceased on the scene by EMS.

The investigation revealed that Santee was driving a black 2019 Chevy Silverado westbound on Pawnee and collided with a concrete pillar below I-135. No other vehicles were involved, and no other injuries occurred.

The investigation is ongoing, and speed is believed to be a factor.
