This weekend we’ll be treated to a much beloved annual event – the Show Biz Kidz performances! The show titled “TV Tunes” is sure to be another that makes our kids shine bright on stage. Students in our summer theatre camp have spent the past 4 weeks learning all things musical theatre, from the basics of singing & dancing to voice projection & theatre terminology. They’ve worked really hard, and it’s always a joy to see them in the spotlight on our stage at the end of camp!

Standup Of The Opera with Richard Stockton
Come downtown for a night of great laughs with Standup Of The Opera with Richard Stockton on Saturday, July 23rd at 7:30 p.m. This “one night only” show will really make your weekend special. And you won't get just one comedian for the price, you'll see three very talented people on our historic stage!

Racking up terrific reviews amid sold out houses, Richard Stockton’s standup comedy brings a positive perspective to a challenging world. He has appeared on dozens of national TV shows, produced and hosted the long running Planet Cruz Comedy Hour in Santa Cruz, and is author of the best-selling book, “Fondle The Fear.” Richard tells stories of unexpected outcomes, performed over his Delta-blues guitar.

Emily Catalano is a Los Angeles-based comedian who recently made her late-night debut on Conan, with Conan O’Brien. She resists the advances of cheating men by never playing “Uno” with them. Faco! is from Gilroy, California, and is known as a hilarious cutting edge social commentator. He is the host of Spontaneous Innuendos, a San Francisco based podcast.

Reserved Seating Tickets: $25 Adults, $12.50 Students ages 13-17. Please Note: PG-13 rating, material may not be suitable for those under the age of 13.

Tom & Meg Stallard present In The Heights
Opening August 5th!

From the amazingly talented Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator of HamiltonIn The Heights is a story of the strong Latino community of Washington Heights in New York City. This show is known for its incredible musical numbers, dancing, and characters with a powerful dedication to their culture. The recipient of 4 Tony Awards, it's the perfect show to make for a great evening or afternoon of theatre!

Performances begin on August 5 and will run through August 28. Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m. Online tickets are on sale now HERE. Also available through our box office (530) 666-9617/340 Second Street, Woodland.

We are committed to protecting the health and safety of our students and community by following the guidelines provided by Yolo County and the CDC.

As of March 12th, in accordance with the latest CDC guidelines, TADA is now masks optional. We highly encourage families to make the best decision for their students. We will still have masks available on-hand and will be following proper sanitization standards to ensure a healthy environment for all.

Youth Workshops
Fall Acting Workshop-Now Enrolling!
Our Acting Workshops will be back again this fall allowing new and veteran young actors the chance to study and learn the acting craft! Each class becomes more nuanced as the students get older, allowing age-appropriate material to be covered. Each workshop is 55 minutes in length and taught by experienced Woodland Opera House Teaching Artists. These workshops are recommended to become a better, stronger performer.

Workshop Length: 7 weeks, September 20th through November 8th.  

Tuition: $125

Imagination Theatre – Ages 2nd through 4th Grade - Taught by Karen Fox, Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m. 

Acting A to Z – Grades 5th through 7th – Taught by Karen Fox, Tuesdays

at 5:00 p.m.

Teen Acting Workshop – Grades 8th through 12th – Taught by Cheryl Watson, Tuesdays at 5:00 p.m.*

32nd Annual Chesley Awards
Sunday, August 28 at 7:00 p.m.

Come enjoy an evening of celebration. We'll highlight the shows of this past season, our wonderful actors, and the people who volunteer & work behind-the-scenes to bring us such wonderful productions. Following the program, a champagne & dessert reception will be held in Heritage Plaza. Open to the public and free of charge.

The Woodland Opera House Chesley Awards are named in honor of Gene Chesley. Gene was a Dramatic Art Department instructor and lecturer at UC Davis for 17 years, a designer, and theatre historian. He was also instrumental in bringing our theatre back to life in the 1980s – a debt of gratitude that we will never lose sight of.
