Sunday, we celebrate our 20th annviersary, in Manhattan, at (le) Poisson Rouge.
Think of it as a mini festival - in the Manhattan woods this time.
The evening will be long - from 7:30 to midnight, and you can stay the whole time, but you can also pick and chose who you want to see - all acts will play full sets, so you can come for the quieter part of the evening - the retro-futurist americana repertoire of Mamie Minch and Tamar Korn (7:30) and the caustic musings of playwright
Ethan Lipton and his Orchestra (8:30pm).
Or come for the more raucous, and possibly more dancy part with Red Baraat’s NY version of Bhangra Funk (9:30) and the insanely high energy cumbia of punk marimberos Son Rompe Pera from Mexico City - plus DJs spinning vintage tropical sides.
Tickets are only $20 for the whole evening.
We really don’t know when the next anniversary will be - so come on down and party with us.
