Bennington, VT -- The last event in the Better Bennington Corporation's Thursday Night Live series features a Silent Disco! The dance party takes place at Merchants Park's Thomson Family Stage.

Please join us for a Silent Disco in the park with DJ phenoms Malcolm Paine (The Break Doctor) and Doug Daniels (from EQX). We will have 150 headphones so come early to claim yours. (If you leave before the end of the show, you then return it to one of the volunteers for someone standing by waiting for a turn. We have wipes to sanitize them between uses.)

A silent disco or silent rave is an event where people dance to music listened to on wireless headphones. Rather than using a speaker system, music is broadcast via a radio transmitter with the signal being picked up by wireless headphone receivers worn by the participants. Those without the headphones hear no music, giving the effect of a room full of people dancing to nothing.

While the event is FREE, participants will need to submit a government issued photo ID or a $50 refundable deposit for the use of the headphones that you get back upon the return. (Don't share with your friends!) The BBC is grateful for the volunteers who have signed up to help with the distribution!

We will run a 50/50 during all performances so bring your singles! Raffle tickets are $2 for 1, $5 for 6, or $10 for 12. You can pick up food from any of our downtown eateries to eat during the performance or go out downtown before or after.
