Elizabeth Fratt has been selected as the Town of Apple Valley’s Employee of the Quarter for the 3rd quarter of 2022.

“Anyone who knows Liz sees her dedication and determination in the job she performs,” said Director of Parks & Recreation Dave Coleman. “Usually working behind the scenes, her tireless efforts make Apple Valley’s special events look easy. She really does create a better community for residents and families to enjoy our programs and services. We are all so thankful that she has become an integral part of our team and Apple Valley’s recreational activities.”

Elizabeth began working for the Town in 2013 in the Recreation Department as a Recreation Leader II. During that time, she also worked additional hours teaching Zumba in the Recreation Center and Aquatics courses at Civic Center Park.

Today, as the Recreation Supervisor, Elizabeth oversees many of the Town’s larger events including the Sunset Concert Series, Freedom Festival, and Christmas Tree Lighting. She also orchestrates the Town’s S.A.V.E. (Save Apple Valley Events) community-wide sponsorship program. Together, S.A.V.E. sponsors contributed more than $70,000 in funding this past year. These additional funds go directly towards the busy summer and fall event seasons.

“Throughout my time here I have had the pleasure of working in a variety of program areas,” said Fratt. “What I enjoy most about working in the Recreation Department is serving my community and being part of the events and programs that bring people together. The Recreation Department is a pretty fun place to start if you’re thinking about a career in local government.”

Elizabeth was recognized as the Employee of the Quarter at the October 11 Town Council meeting.

Nominations for Employee of the Quarter are submitted by peers or management and honorees are selected by the Town Manager.
