Apple Valley, CA – May 4, 2022: In an effort to support and implement the shared vision of a vibrant downtown that honors Apple Valley's historic character while attracting new businesses, residents and visitors alike, Apple Valley has worked closely with the Village Property and Business Improvement District (PBID) to develop the Village Specific Plan.

The Town has been working on this plan in partnership with the PBID for more than two years. Holding extensive interviews, public workshops and surveys to get community feedback.

“We are thrilled to work with our community members and local businesses as we build the framework for our future while honoring the historic charm and character of the Village, we all know and love,” said Apple Valley Mayor Kari Leon.

The Village Specific Plan provides the framework for future development and public improvements within the 651+ acre planning area with the goal of enhancing the public realm, improving mobility, providing a streamlined development process, and preserving the Village's distinct historic character.

For those interested in learning more about the Village Specific Plan and associated Environmental Impact Report (EIR), you can visit www.AppleValley.org where the entire plan has is available for public review. The Village Specific Plan is set to be presented to the planning commission on May 18th, 2022.
