Snow has been falling in the mountains and that means Frisco is gearing up for all things winter! Be sure to mark your calendars so you don’t miss out on all the fun. While we are excited to get our winter activities rolling, some are dependent on snow levels, so be sure to do your snow dances!  

Copper Mountain Opening Day
Monday, November 14
Get your turns in at Copper Mountain, just 6 miles west of Frisco on I-70. Copper will be celebrating their 50th season beginning November 14, which is kind of a big deal… one that you don’t want to miss!

Two Below Zero Sleigh Rides Opening
Saturday, November 19
Enjoy a quiet sleigh ride amidst snow-capped mountains and starry evening skies on the Frisco Peninsula. Warm up with some hot cocoa and fresh baked, warm cookies while taking in the unforgettable scenery.

Frisco Turkey Day 5k
Thanksgiving Day - November 24
Burn off a few calories before celebrating with food, family, and fun at the 9th Annual Turkey Day 5k presented by The Steadman Clinic and Steadman Philippon Research Institute. Trot along the Summit County Rec Path and Frisco side streets on Thanksgiving Day. Open to all ages. Leashed dogs and strollers are welcome.

Frisco Nordic Center Opening Day
Thanksgiving Day - November 24
The Nordic Center plans to open at 9am on Thanksgiving Day (snow dependent). Whether you’re new to cross country skiing, or have been doing it for years, the Nordic Center has a trail for you! Don’t have skis? No worries! Rentals are available for both classic skis and skate skis.

Frisco Adventure Park Opening Day
Thanksgiving Day - November 24
The tubing hill at the Frisco Adventure Park plans to open at 10am on Thanksgiving Day (snow dependent). Enjoy the thrill of gliding down 1,200-foot-long tubing lanes, while taking in spectacular views. From November 24 (Thanksgiving Day) until December 9, 2022, the tubing hill will operate with walk-in and day of reservations only. After that, be sure to make reservations in advance, as tubing regularly sells out a week or more in advance. All tubers must be 36 inches or taller to tube.

Wassail Days
November 26 - December 4
Frisco businesses will be serving free samples of wassail or other tasty, holiday treats. Start Wassail Days out right by coming to the November 26 tree lighting and fireworks, and then sip, savor, and stroll your way through Frisco and fill up your “12 Sips of Wassail” card. Try 12 different wassail samples (or tasty treats) at 12 different locations and bring your completed card to the Frisco/Copper Information Center to redeem for a free Frisco Wassail Days 2022 commemorative mug, while supplies last.
