Government and Politics

June 20, 2022

From: Town Of Lexington

Construction Update: Week of June 20-24

There will be no work on Monday, June 20 in observance of Juneteenth. Crews will work Tuesday through Friday this week.

Check out this short, 1-minute video with drone footage along the project limits.

Work zones will be contained to zones on the north side of the street from:

-Meriam Street to Depot Square (Eastern Bank)

-Edison Way to Waltham Street (CVS)

-Waltham Street (CVS) to Depot Square

Work zones will occur along the south side of the street from:

-Kandi Nails to Muzzy Street

See the current workzone maps.

Brick will be laid starting Tuesday, June 21 between Depot Square and 1775 Massachusetts Avenue, and concrete will be poured this week in front of the Digital Federal Credit Union and CVS.

Installation of final brick will follow excavation and installation of temporary concrete walking surface for the duration of the project.

We anticipate that work over the next month will likely be the heaviest construction activity that we will see during the project.

As always, access to businesses will REMAIN OPEN AT ALL TIMES. Please remember to check our interactive map for the latest construction work zones.
