A new state law demands that MBTA served communities adopt zoning that allows multi-family housing (a building for 3+ dwellings).
Please join us for an interactive mapping workshop, open conversation, and citizen planning effort to help determine possible locations for multi-family housing zoning districts.
Resident-created maps will help the Planning Board formulate a proposed zoning amendment to bring to a future Town Meeting vote.

Energy Prices are on the Rise. Lock in Stable Electricity Prices with Lexington's Community Choice Program
The news is abuzz with talk of rising energy prices. National Grid just announced a price spike that will cause a 64% increase in the average energy bill. Eversource won't announce its new prices until January, but they are not immune to the market forces that caused National Grid's spike.
Luckily, in Lexington, we have a Community Choice electricity program that delivers stable prices that are guaranteed through December 2023. Compare the Town's program prices to Eversource's Basic Service price of 17.871 cents/kWh. Not only are all the Community Choice program prices currently less than the Eversource price, but it also offers options with more renewable energy.
Since its launch in 2017, the program has saved Lexington residents over $5 million and is expected to save an additional $5 million just next year. To make sure you are enrolled in the program, confirm the electricity supplier on your electricity bill is listed as Constellation New Energy. If not, visit the program website to enroll today. You can leave the program at any time with no cancelation fees.

The public is invited to attend the grand opening of the first Universally Accessible (UA) trail constructed on Lexington's Conservation Areas.

This week’s 2.5 mile/2+ hour walk will explore Willards Woods, Chiesa Farm and the newly upgraded universally accessible trail system in Parker Meadow before returning to the Depot in Lexington Center via the Minuteman Bikeway.
Meet your guide, Keith Ohmart, at the Depot in time to catch the 9:30 am A1 Lexpress bus. Steady rain cancels.

Give Your Feedback on Proposed Conservation Regulations at Parker Meadow by Oct. 31
The Conservation Commission is considering updating their Conservation Land Use Regulations to include new regulations on the UA trail segments at the newly-constructed UA trail at Parker Meadow.
All dogs must be leashed
All bikes must yield to other users
Before adopting these proposed changes to the Conservation Land Use Regulations, the Conservation Commission would like to ask for the public’s feedback regarding these changes.

The newly-constructed trail is the first UA loop trail located on Lexington’s Conservation Land. UA trails aim to provide access to all trail users and often provide access for people with varying physical, mental, visual, and/ or auditory abilities. With the purpose of a UA trail in mind,

The Lexington Office of Public Health will update weekly COVID-19 case numbers each Friday. The data represented on the dashboard DOES NOT include at-home test results. The data only represents results of PCR and antigen tests verified through the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
