COMMUNITY PARTNERS: Local group Spreading Holiday Cheer in Marana

MARANA- A local volunteer group is kicking off its holiday campaign to help students in need in the Marana Unified School District.

The Holiday Share donation drive started on November 1, 2022. The Youth Education Supporters (YES) have partnered with MUSD to help more than 900 students this holiday season.

The group aims to provide those students with a gifts, toys and/or clothes. They are looking for people in Marana to adopt a student or send money to help them purchase these gifts.

MUSD elves will shop for any qualified students who are not adopted. There are also families in need of a holiday meal. Donations will also go towards purchasing Fry’s or Walmart gift cards for food.

Expect to spend between $75 to $100 per student. You will shop, place the unwrapped gift in a black trash bag, include the student identification and deliver the gift to the Family Resource Center by December 2nd.

UPDATE: Unwrapped presents are being accepted until December 12th.

Students will receive their gifts on December 16th.
