Land Use Enforcement Officer. 35 hours/week with a salary range of $52,000-$57,000 and offers a comprehensive benefits package. Outside Maintenance. Temporary summer position, May thru August. 40+ hours per week at $16 per hour, no benefits. Duties will include, but not limited to grass cutting, athletic field maintenance and cleaning of park/playground areas.

Per Diem (As Needed)

Assistant Animal Control Officer. Per Diem, as needed position. Under the direction of the Animal Control Officer, the Assistant Animal Control Officer receives and responds to complaints regarding domestic animals and wildlife from the general public and enforces all relevant State and Town laws, ordinances and policies. Possession of a valid CT motor vehicle license is required. Must obtain rabies vaccination and stay current with shots. Laborer at the Southbury Transfer Station/Seasonal Laborer. Per diem, as needed position, $16.00 per hour. Performs manual labor duties including monitoring and assisting in deposit of recycling and solid waste materials, cleaning up debris and litter, placing and securing tarps on containers, preparing trailers for transport, loading materials, moving appliances, electronics and car batteries, clearing snow and ice from walkway and bins, checking vehicles for permits, and other manual work assignments.

Mini-Bus Driver/Utility. Seeking a flexible, part time schedule? Looking for rewarding days assisting seniors? Interested in taking local day trips to museums, local attractions and shows? The Town of Southbury Senior Services Department is seeking drivers, to drive 12 passenger buses, on daily local trips as well as in and out of state field trips with our seniors. Two shift scheduling allows for 8:00 AM to 12:30PM or 12:00 PM to 5:00PM shifts. Occasional weekend shifts also available. No prior experience necessary, although applicants must hold State of Connecticut Public Service license with medical F endorsements signed by an approved physician (minimum “F” endorsement, others will not be considered). May also be used as a utility person to help with various tasks at the Senior Center. $16.50 per hour.
