The Townsend Fire/EMS Relief Association will host the lawn party at the Townsend Military Band’s Thursday, August 11th, concert on the Townsend Common.  Townsend Fire/EMS personnel will be selling hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and sausages with peppers and onions to hungry concertgoers.  They will also offer cold soda and bottled water for sale.  Fire/EMS personnel will set up a bounce house and several yard games on the Common that evening for the enjoyment of young people attending the concert.

The Townsend Military Band will open its concert at 7:30 p.m. by playing the “March of the Belgium Paratroopers” by Leemans and “Disney At the Movies” arranged by Higgins“.  Phillippe's arrangement of “The Magnificent Seven”, Yoder's arrangement of “Tiger Rag”, and the “Radetzky March” arranged by Louis-Philippe will be performed.  Strommen's “Cumberland Cross”, Stuart's “Three Ayres from Gloucester”, and Sousa's “Washington Post March” will be included in the first portion of the concert.

Following intermission Judge's arrangement of “It's A Long, Long Way To Tipperary” and Moehlmann's arrangement of “Prelude and fugue in Bb Major” will be offered. Custer's arrangement of the “Ashokan Farewell”, “La Gazza Ladra” arranged by Meyrelles, and Sousa's “Sabre and Spurs March” will be performed before the band concludes its concert at 9:30 by playing the “Star Spangled Banner”.
