Townsend Military Band Concert 7-21-2022
The Townsend Ashby Youth Baseball Softball organization will host the lawn party at the Townsend Military Band’s Thursday, July 21st, concert on the Townsend Common.  Members of the organization will be selling hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers and cold soda and bottled water to hungry concertgoers.

A bounce house will be among the activities set up on the Common that evening for the enjoyment of young people attending the concert.

The Townsend Military Band will open its concert at 7:30 p.m. by playing “John Williams: The Symphonic Marches” arranged by Higgins and the “Bacharach & David Medley”.  “Hollywood Milestones” arranged by Higgins, the “St. Julien March” edited by Tousignant, and Barker’s arrangement of the “Broadway Showstoppers Overture” will be performed.  “Pixar Movie Magic” arranged by Brown and the “Zacatecas Mexican March” arranged by Glover will be included in the first portion of the concert.

Following intermission King’s “Peacemaker March” and the “English Folk Suite” by Vaughan Williams will be offered.  Anderson’s “Blue Tango” and Bidgood’s “Sons of the Brave March” will be performed before the band concludes its concert at 9:30 by playing the “Star Spangled Banner”.
