Rain Plan...

The DDA's July First Friday Event - A screening of "The Iron Giant" - is scheduled for THIS Friday beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Shamrock Park. The forecast is calling for rain, but the show must go on and we have a plan! If the forecast doesn't improve, we will hold the event inside the Roger Spencer Recreation Building at 145 Commerce Drive. The food trucks will be relocated to this location as well.

We will announce our decision to change venues via this email list and our social media pages by Noon on Friday, so please stay tuned. If you do not see an email or a post on social media, please plan on joining us at Shamrock Park.

The Mayor and Council approved a required update to our Comprehensive Plan during a called meeting this morning. For more details on this update and an update on other projects, please check out our most recent Town News entry on our website.

Please Note:

Talk to Us...

As an updated reminder, Town staff does not have the capacity to regularly monitor third-party social media pages for citizen comments and concerns about the Town or to respond to every conceivable thread. We certainly do not have the time to involve ourselves in extensive back and forth online debate. That said, your questions, comments, and concerns are very important to us and we would very much like to interact with you and discuss anything you have on your mind. The best way to make this happen is direct contact and we are all extremely reachable and responsive.

Most of the contact information you will need can be found on our website at https://www.tyronega.gov/contact-directory.

You can also reach out to us via direct message on Facebook through our page at https://www.facebook.com/tyronegeorgia/.

If you prefer in-person contact, all Town offices are open Monday - Friday from 8 to 5 and our staff is happy to meet with any citizen without an appointment as long as we are not already in a meeting.

You're the reason we are here, so please do not hesitate to reach out!
