REMINDER: Apply to Run the 2023 Boston Marathon

Applications are available for the Town of Wellesley Boston Marathon invitational entry program. 

As a member of the Boston Athletic Association (BAA) Cities and Towns Program, the Town of Wellesley has a limited number of invitational entries to distribute to local nonprofits and the War Memorial Scholarship Fund. 

The deadline to apply for these entries is Monday, November 14. 

To be considered for an invitational entry, nonprofit organizations should complete the Town of Wellesley 2023 Marathon Charity Application found on the Town website. 

Individual runners seeking an invitational entry are welcome to: (a) complete the Town of Wellesley 2023 Marathon Individual Application (also on the Town website) indicating interest in running for the War Memorial Scholarship Fund; or (b) connect with a nonprofit organization recruiting runners. 

Completed applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14 to be eligible for consideration. Return applications via email to Stephanie Hawkinson ([email protected]), deliver them to the secure drop box in front of Town Hall, or or return them to the Select Board Office on the 3rd floor of Town Hall. 

The Select Board will designate the organizations and War Memorial Scholarship Fund runners who will receive invitational entries for the 2023 race. Entry recipients will be notified by November 30, 2022.
