October 12, 2022 (Wellesley, MA) – The 127th Boston Marathon will take place on Patriot’s Day next year with an in-person race on Monday, April 17, 2023. As a member of the Boston AthleticAssociation (BAA) Cities and Towns Program, the Town of Wellesley has a limited number of invitational entries to distribute to local nonprofits and the War Memorial Scholarship Fund. The application period for charities and runners wishing to apply for these entries opens today, Wednesday, October 12 and runs through Monday, November 14

The Select Board will designate the organizations and War Memorial Scholarship Fund runners who will receive invitational entries for the 2023 race. Entry recipients will be notified by November 30, 2022.
