From: Town Of Wellesley

The Health Department is holding an afternoon flu clinic on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 for residents ages 18+.

Advance registration is required; we are unable to guarantee vaccines for walk-ins.

The clinic runs from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will take place at the Warren Health & Recreation Building (90 Washington Street) in the gym on the ground floor. Homebound residents are encouraged to schedule an at-home appointment. Call the Health Department at 781-489-4356.

Vaccines are free, but if you have health insurance, please bring your insurance card.

TWO Flu vaccines are available: the standard dose and high-dose. The standard quadrivalent vaccine is available for ages 18+. Anyone aged 65+ is eligible to receive a high-dose vaccine.

The high-dose quadrivalent vaccine is an inactivated vaccine (meaning it uses the killed version of the germ that causes a disease) approved for people 65+. This vaccine contains four times the antigen of standard-dose inactivated flu vaccines. Antigen is the part of the vaccine that helps your body build up protection against flu viruses.

For information or assistance you may also call the Flu Clinic phone line at 781-283-5730.

COVID Booster Available
The Health Department will have a limited supply of the new bivalent COVID booster available at this clinic (Moderna only).

This booster is only available for those who have registered for the Flu vaccine clinic on October 4 and is only available until supplies run out. When you arrive, please let the Health Department staff know you would like the COVID booster.

It is safe to receive both a Flu vaccine and a COVID vaccine at the same time.

The Health Department will also have COVID-19 at-home tests available at the flu clinic.
