From: Town Of Wellesley

Wellesley’s new Deputy Veterans Services Officer (VSO) brings extensive military experience to his municipal government role.

The Town recently hired retired Marine Corps Major TJ Tedeschi, a career officer who spent 21-years on active duty.

Working with the West Suburban Veterans District (WSVD), Tedeschi’s primary job is to help Veterans and their families access all eligible benefits and services. He'll be in Wellesley two days a week and will also spend part of his work week in the other WSVD towns of Needham, Wayland, Weston, and Westwood.

With degrees in both adult education and leadership, the new Deputy VSO says he’s “looking forward to sharing personal stories and professional insight with Veterans on programs, housing, medical care, and other opportunities.”

Veterans can contact Tedeschi by email at [email protected] or call the Veterans Services Office at 781-489-7509.

A decorated Veteran himself, Tedeschi served with the Marine Corps in Africa, Central and East Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, including tours with Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. His enlisted career involved parachute rigging, instructor and inspection duties, Presidential Marine duties, and flying as a helicopter aerial observer/gunner.

Welcome TJ!
