WELLESLEY POLICE DEPARTMENT

Pink Patch Project
The Wellesley Police Department is again participating in the Pink Patch Project, a nationwide awareness campaign where police departments sell pink patches during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The police department will be selling a limited edition Pink Patch & apparel items which showcases the Town of Wellesley seal in pink.

All proceeds and donations this year will be made in memory of Jean Smith to The Julie Fund for Women’s Cancers. Jean, the wife of Police Chief Jack Pilecki, was a three time cancer survivor who fought her final battle with pancreatic cancer until her last breath on October 2, 2022. Jean's initials will be embroidered on the ribbon sleeve of this years limited edition sweatshirts and t-shirts.

The $10 patch can be purchased online and at the Wellesley Police Department.

Officers will be participating in the event by wearing a pink pin and have the option of wearing the pink patches on their uniform during October.
