Happening next month at the Library!

December Holiday Closures

The Trussville Public Library will be closed Friday, December 23rd, and will remain closed through Monday, December 26th in observance of the Christmas holiday. The library will resume all services on Tuesday, December 27th at 9:00 am.
The library will also be closed from Saturday, December 31st through Monday, January 2nd for the New Year holiday. All services will resume on Tuesday, January 3rd.
All due dates for library materials will be automatically adjusted for these holiday closures.

Santa's Workshop
Monday, Dec. 5th  |  5:00 - 7:00 pm

Visit Santa's workshop at the Trussville Public Library! Several craft stations will be set up around the library auditorium to help you get ready for the holiday season (while supplies last). Santa will stop by for photos from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Please bring a camera to capture your family's time with Santa. A staff member will be available to take photos if needed.

No Registration Needed

Budding Bookworms: Narwhal and Jelly
Thursday, Dec. 15th |  4:00 pm

Read or listen to the graphic novel "Happy Narwhalidays" by Ben Clanton before the program. Then join us for a special event as we discuss the book, play games, and make a themed craft. Light snacks will be provided.
This program is best for 1st - 3rd-grade students.

Ukulele Club
Tuesday, Dec. 6th  |  6:30 pm

Interested in learning the ukulele or looking for somewhere to play? We have a professional ukulele player at the library to help you learn and perfect your skills! This event is open to all ages.
Did you know you can check out a ukulele with your library card? Request a ukulele from the front desk during your next visit and make sure the browse our music books to help your practice at home.

Video Game Tournament
Wednesday, Dec. 14th  |  4:00 pm

Join us for this month's video game tournament for teens. We will play a game on the auditorium's big screen and the champion win a grand prize. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Open to 6th to 12th grade students.

Heal Your Heart from Within
Sunday, Dec. 4th |  2:00 - 3:00 pm

Tired of quick fixes that don’t work? Do you often feel that life happens to you instead of for you? Do you look to others for the answers? Do you doubt your ability to make decisions that serve your highest good? Learn how to be guided to heartfelt healing by Teresa Anne Palmer, Holistic Cardiology Nurse. She will share the tools to embark on a heart-healing journey, igniting the spark within for self-healing to occur.

Holiday Painting Class
Sunday, Dec. 11th |  2:00 - 4:30 pm

Paint a festive holiday design with Amy Phillips of Creative Mindz. She will be several options you can choose from to paint. All materials provided. There is a $12 fee for this class. Registration is required.
