The largest event of its kind in the nation, the UNC Greeley Jazz Festival brings together internationally recognized artists, jazz lovers, award-winning clinicians, and over 250 college, high school, and middle school big bands, combos, and jazz vocal groups from across the country. Each year, over 7,500 participants enjoy main stage concerts, after-hours sessions, non-competitive daytime performances, and educational workshops.

NYC jazz vocalist Michael Mayo, UNC alum and member of Manhattan Transfer Trist Curless, and energetic and eclectic singer-songwriter Genevieve Artadi team up for a dynamite evening of vocal jazz. The three deliver their own cutting-edge and self-transparent original music before embarking on a tribute to the jazz vocal trio Lambert, Hendricks and Ross with all the energy, wit, vocalise, and distinct harmony of the iconic group.

The Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra with UNC's Compass Jazz Orchestra

Grammy winner and legendary bassist  John Clayton returns to UNC with his Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra to take the stage with UNC's Compass Jazz Orchestra. The long-established CHJO leaves an impact with its powerful and distinct 19-piece voice that tips a hat to the legacy of Ellington, Basie and Thad Jones.

The Paquito D'Rivera Quintet with Camille Thurman & the Jazz Festival All-Star Big Band

More than ten-time Grammy-winning clarinetist and composer Paquito D'Rivera and his quintet, plus jazz "double threat" multi-intrumentalist and vocalist Camille Thurman, join forces with the Jazz Festival All-Star Big Band in an exhilirating festival finale. This world-class lineup hits hard with its inventive technical mastery and sophisticated influences spanning Latin, jazz and classical styles.
