Demonstrating the resiliency of art in South Fulton County, a moving new collaborative art exhibit, "The Creative Exchange: Visual Stories of Local Artists," is on display at the Gathering Place Community Center through March 23.

This exhibit features work using various mediums such as traditional sketch work, paint, and digital illustration. The curated show includes artwork submitted by 13 local artists with diverse social and cultural backgrounds.

"Union City aims to celebrate the work of local artists," stated Mayor Vince Williams. "The overwhelming response through our Call to Artists is a testament to the spirit and connectivity of our community, and it's great we will have friends, families, and neighbors come together and celebrate the arts in Union City."

An opening reception to celebrate the show is scheduled on Thursday, February 9, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Gathering Place (6280 Bryant Street). This event is free to attend and open to the public.
