National Search Begins for New Director

When Dr. J. Patrick Kociolek first came to the CU Museum of Natural History in 2008, visitor numbers were low: only 20,000 people a year came through its doors and only 1,500 were University of Colorado students.

Kociolek oversaw the launch of the popular BioLounge and in recent years, the museum also expanded its digital offerings, including virtual tours and educational webpages in both English and Spanish. Today, roughly 50,000 people visit the museum every year, including about 15,000 CU students.
