USS Hornet to host veterans job fair

The USS Hornet Sea, Air & Space Museum has announced that the museun is hosting a Veterans Job fair on Thursday, November 10, 2016, from 10 am to 3 pm, on the Hangar Deck of the ship.  This job fair is being held in honor of Veterans Day 2016, benefiting veterans, military spouses and active military soon to be transitioning to civilian jobs.  Partnering with the Oakland Private Industry Council and the Veterans Supportive Services Agency, this event is an opportunity for jobseekers to meet face-to-face with Bay Area companies from a cross-section of industries ready to hire and for such companies to demonstrate their commitment to helping veterans and military families find employment.

Visit for links to registration forms for employers,  jobseekers and for veteran resource organizations to participate.  Employers must register by October 28.  This event is free for jobseekers and veteran organizations. Registration includes meals, touring the ship and returning to the museum the following day for the annual Veterans Day Ceremony.

The Hornet has free parking.  Michael's Transporation will provide a free shuttle between the museum and the College of Alameda.
